The LUIS Pattern:

Brutal Elegance

Inspired by my husband’s request for something powerful yet understated. I combined AI precision with architectural geometry to create a pattern that feels both ancient and futuristic. A tribute to masculine strength, named after the man who inspired it.

Step 1

Creating the soul of the garment. I used AI tools to craft the LUIS pattern, focusing on a bold, masculine aesthetic. This stage is all about precision: transitioning from a complex digital render to a print-ready layout, perfectly scaled for the final vest.

Step 2

Materializing the Vision

  • The fabric has arrived! There’s nothing like the feeling of fresh print on quality textile. Before the first stitch, every detail is checked: unrolling the fabric, verifying the custom LUIS patterns, and aligning the digital-grade patterns (lekyala)
  • Precision cutting is the foundation of a perfect fit.

Engineering the Volume

This is where the LUIS pattern takes its 3D form. From precision hand-cutting to the rhythmic process of quilting and stuffing for that perfect "puffer" look. Every section is carefully filled to maintain the silhouette, while the lining is seamlessly integrated. It’s a balance of technical skill and artistic patience.
